Walking Tour of Historic Homes in Downtown Hertford ~

Dinner at the Newbold-White House ~ September 28, 2024

For many years now, the Perquimans County Restoration Association has been holding a Jollification either in downtown Hertford, Belvidere or out and about in the county at large.  This event is a wonderful way to view historic homes and sites that would otherwise never be open to you if not for the generosity of the owners.  See how other people decorate and live, learn the unique history of the home and perhaps even hear about the quirks or the ghosts!  The day is then topped off with dinner under the tent at the 1730 Newbold-White House on Harvey Point Road about one mile east of Route 17.  And after dinner you will be treated to oldies but goodies…maybe even dance! Finally you will have the opportunity to “bid silently” on several Unique Dinners in Private Homes, win the drawing for an original oil painting of the Periauger, and live bidding on homemade cakes and pies!  HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
